A little context, my partner is in a super competitive field where there are way more workers than spots available. Little to say we were ecstatic when she was offered the job which she really wanted.
We are both graduating college here soon and we have both had jobs lined up to start in May. We were getting ready to lease an apartment and everything, things were looking alright.
My partner emails the job about 2 weeks ago because she needs a job offer letter to prove income for the land lords and hears nothing, even after repeated follow ups. She ends up calling today only to hear “yeah, we hired 2 new people so we are going to prioritize them instead.” Even after she got verbal confirmation on a start date and everything. This damn company has left us hanging high and dry less than a month before we move in together because they didn’t have the least amount of decency to email her to tell her she no longer had the job.
