My boss just texted me asking if I could come in extra next week, I already have plans for that day so I responded saying I couldn't, to which they replied “Well why not?”
This has happened in the past and it puts me in such an awkward situation because I dont just wanna tell them “None of your business” and come off as being rude, but I also dont wanna tell them why Im not coming in because… well its none of their business.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to respond to a message like that without being a dick, but also not actually telling what I'm doing that day?
