Title pretty much sums it up. I worked for a small landscaping company, and in April we get a lot of rain where I live.
I was asked to work in the rain and simply asked if rain gear would be provided. I was told no so I sucked it up and got soaked despite my request for a simple poncho or something.
My commute isn’t short. I live about 40 minutes away from where we all meet before heading out to job sites. This morning was just like any other day. Except the owner was waiting for me and told me this would be my last day. When I asked why he said it was because we have “different approaches” whatever the fuck that means lol.
They could just not like my work style but I doubt that is the reason. The only waves I ever made was due to our boss making us buy our own rain gear which is pretty expensive.
I Already have another job lined up and it’s actually a pay increase so I’ll be fine. I’ve never been fired before and was pretty thrown off when they didn’t provide a reason as to why other than some vague spineless answer.
I’m done now thanks for reading!
Edit* also pretty irked that they asked me to come in mad early in the morning, drive 40 minutes to the shop just to be told to go home and not come back. A simple phone call would have sufficed
