I’ve been ghosting employers for the past month because of the red flags I’ve been getting from pre-phone/interviews.
Employer: We have a great team here. We expect everyone to be a little early for a team meeting before they clock in. We’d love you to meet the team an interview.
Me: Sure, what time?
Employer: does noon work?
Me: “sounds good see you then.”
Me: Processed to block number and move onto the next employer application.
Do all these “bosses” not know labor laws? This has happened at least three times in the past month either in the interview or during the phone screening process. Unpaid OT, off the clock working, sharing tips with the owners for their cut. My god is there any honest employers out there? I’m losing hope…..(different industries, different types of jobs)
