Pay attention to the wording.
They want to force people into submission by going as far as threatening to cut pay and benefits.

STOP TRYING TO CONTROL OUR LIVES
If you are in the position to do so, politely reject jobs that can and have obviously been successfully done remotely and make your demands (politely) clear. (Ex. Currently on the market only for remote positions)
Making your work conditions better and joining together with others doing the same helps every worker.
