The American dream has changed. It's no longer to work hard and get rewarded for doing so by treating others fairly and with respect. It's to work for a terrible company, and pretend you don't care about the impacts of the work you're doing. For example, if you really want to live the American dream and succeed at doing it, you have to work for a big company like Amazon, making other people's lives hell, and pretend that you just don't notice or are completely unaware that you're doing that. The outcome is that you will have a massive home with everything you can possibly hope to give to your family, while others struggle to survive and suffer immensely.
Here's an example. I know someone who works for Comcast, terrible company, and every single scumbag thing they do he justifies it and defends it and acts like I'm crazy! I tell him that the data cap is bullshit and unfair. People start working from home and who do they punish? The people working from home. They don't punish the company They are working for. No. They install a data cap to start charging us so much more money for data that is limitless in supply and not even a tangible thing. It's fucking data. Jesus Christ. But no, I am the idiot apparently because we should all pay our fair share to come cast incorporated, and give them as much money as humanly possible so they can pocket it and continue paying their workers almost nothing
