SICK PAY in California

Hi guys
First time posting here and just have a question about sick pay.

I just put my two weeks at this (horrible) company who's just really sketchy. It's pretty new and it just boomed so there's no rules in place or anything.

I have 3 days of sick pay accrued and

1. Does your employer pay those out in California?

2. If not, can I still “be sick” on my two week notice?

   Thinking of taking those three days off.
