Just an open-ended question to spark some discussion on this topic. Today at the office a few of us sat down and discussed pay. Crazy I know but what was more shocking than anything is how criminally underpaid some of my colleagues are. We live in Miami, by yourself you will literally not survive without at minimum 75-80k, Studio Apts are renting for 2,500+ with the x3 monthly income (post taxes of course) requirements that most of these rental buildings have, you would need to make 90k on your own just to live in a 300 sqft box in the city.
A majority of my colleagues make at lowest 55k and at the highest 300k+) that range is just not ok, some of these poor souls started working at 45k and worked their way to 55k after 5+ years of slavery.
So the question still bears, how much do YOU need to make to live comfortably where you live?
