Just handed in my notice for a job, and am wondering if nobody is instructed to report that I’ve left the role to payroll (very high chance of that happening) and it is not noticed until after I am given an extra payslip, can they then make me pay that back? Like obviously they can try and contact me about it, but if I simply do not respond, surely it’s their fault for not being organised enough to make sure someone tells payroll I’ve left?
