Edit: I think this article is mostly bullshit. I agree that more money is important. I agree that developing skills is good and CAN lead to more money. But it doesn’t always. I’m not going to continue to work for a company simply because the development my skills. If I develop more skills, fuck you, pay me. Continue to work for a company that doesn’t increase pay; doesn’t offer retirement, sick leave, parental leave, life insurance, or vacation; but they develop my skills? Not enough. Not even close.
