I work as a CNA (certified nursing assistant) in Oklahoma. The rehab facility where I'm currently at hired me without my license because they had a program where they trained you while you worked for a slighty lower pay. I have more then enough hours to pass the state requierments and did the testing at the facility. The facility was supposed to send our paperwork (me and the other aides) to the state licencing board so we could get our certification number. It was taking a very long time and eventually the facility realized they sent the wrong paperwork. They have the correct papers now but they are refusing to send them unless we sign a 2 year contract. I've been here for 4 months and this is the first time a 2 year contract was brough up. There was no issue before with sending our papers but now they don't want to. I've even offered to pay the cost of the class as I would rather that then a contract. Haven't heard back from them yet but I have no clue what to do if they refuse. I can't even go and take the test separetly since they don't want to sign off on my clinical hours.
