Exhausted of the hypocrisy…

I am so tired of the “nobody wants to work anymore,” trope. Sitting here for a haircut and they are backed up because their is only one barber. Her and the customer in the chair are talking about how nobody wants to work anymore (sounds like only on Sunday shift). The customer goes off about how people are lazy, liberal, and don’t want to work anymore and then as he hears the situation (including that haircuts cost more now but their pay didn’t change) says “maybe the employer (it’s a franchise I think) should offer some sort of incentive to keep their employees.” She responds “yeah the owners don’t car they’d rather work us to death. I don’t pick up more shifts because they don’t pay me enough.”

It’s like they both are so close to getting it and then just drove right past it!! Sorry just venting…
