I just got back from a week off from covid. After being required to get a doctor's excuse, I logged in this morning to our PTO Portal to see that 40 hours had been taken for my absence. I understand COVID is being normalized in most places, but on the other side of that, this is still an involuntary virus we can get and it's recommended we're isolated for five days because of that. Why is this a reason to take all of the PTO I've worked for?
