Yesterday my coworker was bragging that he has never taken a sick day. Our sick days are part of our pto but allotted separately. So if you are supposed to have 5 days pto you get 4 days pto and one sick day.
Management knows this is bs and once our pto is used up we call in sick the last few days. But my co-worker is proudly leaving 4 days vacation on the table and has been for the 17 years he's been with the company.
I should add our sick days are use it or lose it so he's not stockpiling or anything.
