Turned in my two weeks notice, an hour later my position was posted to our company website.

I turned my resignation letter in yesterday. I was pretty nervous and had a lot of mixed feelings about the delivery. My boss took it really well and told me she will miss me and how much she valued my work. Within an hour, though, my job was posted to our website along with an email chain containing how my boss was looking to fill my position “ASAP,” wanting a rush posting. Normally internal openings take about 10 days to process so it was a little shocking they moved that fast. When the posting is live, though, everyone in the system gets a recruitment notification for where and which title is available. Didn’t even have the chance to tell anybody, making me look like a jerk in the end.
