Quit a toxic work site, hope my next one is decent

I worked for a Federal contractor for almost 9 years. I loved it for the first several years, then they started cutting staffing levels to boost corporate profits. They dumped the work of termed positions on those who remained. With in a year it was unsustainable. They were essentially saved by covid, when they went to remote work and operations ground to a crawl it allowed time to get caught up. I worked for a Federal contractor for almost 9 years. I loved it for the first several years, then they started cutting staffing levels to boost corporate profits. They were essentially saved by covid, when they went to remote work and operations ground to a crawl it allowed time to get caught up. They wanted to lay everyone off and pocket the payroll, but the government wouldn't let them. Then we went back and again with in a year they were back in the same mess as before with everyone falling behind and management not caring and only wanting impossible results. They're latest motivational maneuver is to write people up for every little infraction, or failure, even when those failures are because of poor management. Then the exodus began, when I quit last week they were up to 34 vacancies out of 100 positions on center. I submitted two weeks notice, but left after one. My boss figured that since I was leaving I wouldn't mind breaking Federal Regulations and essentially commit a crime in my final days to make things easier for them after I left. So I filed one last complaint with the regional government office and HR and then walked. Have a new job starting next week and really looking forward to it.
