First of all, I love this sub.
I started working after college in 2014 and as I’m coming up on my anniversary of working 8 years, I just wanted to share a really important tip – Always look for the next, better opportunity.
In the past 8 years, I’ve worked 3 different jobs and while I haven’t hopped around too much, I’ve tried to be strategic in my moves. I went from making 35k/year (working 45-50 hours per week) to making 150k/year (working maybe 35 hours per week). I don’t say this to brag (I’m fully aware that 150k isn’t some insane amount of money), but as a reminder that good opportunities are out there and we always have to be on the lookout. Remember, you don’t owe your employer anything. You owe it to yourself.
