Lately I've been looking through job openings for my local city (Blue state, college town, 80,000 people), and I can't help but notice that the lowest paid jobs are still a good two dollars above minimum wage, and I've heard on other posts that working for the city or state government is better than a private company. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?
