0% raise and work wants 20% increase in productivity

Title says it. After another year of record breaking profits this is the “reward” we get. I WFH entirely, which is great, but on contract which is not. The pay is adequate but about $20k less than industry standard for this work. We are hourly and they are adamant about 40 hours of work because OT is expensive. They have to 1.5 the billed contract rate, because the staffing agency has to get their cut, not just my hourly rate. There are no benefits, no PTO, nothing just straight pay for time worked. The good thing is when you are off the clock you are completely off. For the regular employees they said the raise is 2% but then say it is 80% of that for x, then 80% of that for y, then 85% of that for z. Works out to about 1.1%, which is shit and definitely not…

Works out to about 1.1%, which is shit and definitely not keeping up with normal inflation let alone the current hyper inflation.

Then they increased productivity requirements by 20% across the team.

What they haven’t done is address the 75% attrition since we were hired 8 months ago. We were also supposed to be hired on as regulars after 6 months. We had inadequate training. Leadership had no experience in this line of business and were leading a team of untrained staffers. To top it off the software regularly failed.

The only reason I stay is because it is a consistent paycheck, I’m working from home, and I’m getting experience in this field. Not that any other company would be less profit focused, but at least I’ll make more and have benefits again once I have more time under my belt.
