Is it wrong to think I’m entitled to more than $16/hour?

I’m currently 19 and I used to have a job at fast food when I was 16 and worked three years for $8.50. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Until I had to move across my state and I looked for a new job. I found a job for $16/hour in a super clean factory. It’s probably the easiest work I’ve ever done for money but when I learned how much money they make for each part it really rubbed me the wrong way. In one box of parts it can hold around 185 parts. Each part is bought for around $7. Once my manager told me this I instantly got pissed off. I don’t want to feel like an entitled prick because I absolutely love my job because it’s easy money, and all of my coworkers are amazing to to work with. There’s quite literally zero toxicity and is just a bunch of guys and girls talking and chilling throughout the night, but I feel like I’m getting scammed out of 8 hours of my life EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Does anyone have any advice? I have a high school diploma but I only got a 2.6 GPA. I am going to stay at this job for a while but I just don’t know what to do next. I have a car but is this really it? Just slugging around through my twenties while people are making bank?
