So I was in the break room waiting on my interview to start. Someone was in there having a break. Hiring manager walked in and looked at the employee and goes “Back to work, now.” And like snapped her fingers at her and pointed at the door. And the girl goes “I’ve got 10 minutes left.” And the hiring manager goes “I don’t care. Off your phone. Back to work. NOW.”
And then turned to me and was like trying to shake my hand and introduce herself all nice, like I didn’t just witness her being a total psychopath.
And then she proceeded to tell me the position I applied for wasn’t available but she brought me in anyway because of good word-of-mouth reference… like I owed her something for that? And then tried to convince me to take a different shift and different FTE than I applied for.
Fuck that noise.
And they wonder why hospitals can’t keep nurses.
