Hello People, I love this sub, and support friends and family to stand their ground at work. I’m in my twenties and I have no ambition to own a house or a expensive car. My parents worked their ass off (for 45 years) and still have 20% debt remaining on their small house. They lived rather poorly. They lived to work.
Meanwhile I try enjoying my life outside work as much as I can. While some of my friends invest all their spare money into a house or an expensive car, they are going to pay in the next 30 years, I don’t get why. I don’t want to turn 60, look back on my previous life and be happy to be a homeowner. Rather I would look back to have nice memories on places and memories with people I met along my journey.
