I just woke up at 3:45pm on my day off. I do not have consecutive days off. I get Sundays and Wednesdays. Wednesdays are usually for doctors appointments or catching up on stuff I can’t do otherwise. I also work the night shift, so I wake up around 11:00 to get ready for work at 12:30pm, get off at 9:00pm, and then it’s too late to go out and do anything on a weekday so I just chill at home. I’ve never felt more like a robot.
And now, I’ve just slept the entire day on my one chill day off. I have no energy to do anything anymore. My health issues are non stop. Between asthma, allergies, and constant migraines, I don’t fully enjoy my free time. And I truly believe it’s because my body is sick of this rat race and is depressed.
If anyone has any advice on how to get out of the 40 hour work week (which for me turns out to be more because I have one of those jobs that sometimes expects you to work OT or from home) and actually make real money so I can stop this. I seriously hate life and think I’d rather die than work like this for the rest of my life.
