Had my orientation last week for a new job and their callout policies are excessively strict. 3 callouts (no substitute) in 3 months is termination. One callout in first 30 days is termination (no excuses). Callouts with substitute are still pushing you towards termination.
I'm someone with a myriad of problems mentally and physically, ranging from intestinal issues, major depressive episodes, and insomnia/hypersomnia. Trying to come to work on a day when one or more of the issues are flaring is like building the empire state building solo. It's monumentous and arguably impossible. But if I don't, I'll just lose the job anyways.. and frankly it's a thing that exists within any workspace I could work rn.
Why is calling out such a punishable offense.. I should be able to prioritize my overall well-being right? By doing so I'd be more productive when I actually work
