I've applied to 20+ jobs in the past month.. 2 interviews, neither hired me. All the other jobs are full time, driving, or medical jobs, or jobs requiring a diploma or GED. Most of the time, each application takes 20-30 minutes and seemingly a whole psych eval with statements like “I like being under severe stress at work” with a scale of agreement. If I knew how to sell feet pics I would in a heartbeat.
I graduate high school in a few months but have hopes of moving out of my foster-like placement in August and have NO money saved up. My boyfriend has money saved but I really don't want him paying for everything, I'm not ever going to make him do that for me.
Neither of us have a license because my caseworker that was gonna help me left and I haven't met with my new one, and placement hasn't taken me to the DMV for my permit. My bf got hit by a car with seizures on impact, was recently medically cleared.
I can live here till I'm 21, but this placement quite frankly fucking sucks. Mice, biting bugs, black mold, freezing winters inside and sweltering summers but not allowed to get a heater or AC bc we have the world's most ancient “central air” that doesn't reach my floor. Only addressing issues in time for inspections and county visitors and stuff.
My immune system is so bad I've gotten the flu, had strept for 2 weeks, and a sinus infection, not even counting my autonomic dysfunction or UTIs. Lost my last job for calling off even with medical excuses.
And every job I've had has undercut my pay, by trying to deny me my sign-on bonus, or refused pay for the time it took for them to even get me in the pay system (has costed me a whole week of pay before). No jobs care about their customers and I'm tired of humiliating myself trying so hard to get a job. It's ridiculous.
