My First Experience In the Work Force

I am 15 years old and have now just got my first job. I was encouraged to start working by my mother and father who say that work is “an important life experience” which I cannot disagree with. When I showed up no one was there, I was quite confused considering I had memorized the exact time. I later went home after waiting and then recieved a call from this place, the first thing I heard was “what don't you understand about 9 30?” I did as I thought anyone would do by saying “I'm sorry about the misunderstanding, I thought I was supposed to be in at 7 30 to 8 00 in order to complete my work before 10” they then proceeded to tell me (after little to no explanation) they would have to decide if they would have me back in the rudest way possible. I was very confused why I was automatically treated with such little respect, as if I was nothing but a pawn. When I told my parents about this they only shrugged it off as “something normal” that happens often in the labor force. My question to the people of this subreddit is how is this considered normal? Why do we allow ourselves to be treated so badly by employers?
