I don't know if anyone saw the post about the WeWork manager but where is this surge of pro business people coming from? It seems like most people feel that being let go from one job is somehow complete penance and carte blanche for making dozens of people's lives hell for months, threatening their income, and sexually abusing them?!
Some of these people are even calling OP a “jerk” like they have no idea what WeWork is and the sexual abuse that was taking place. Just because OP used a joking tone when talking about warning the abusing manager's next employer (about potential liability, about the danger to workers, about 100 other aspects of unknowingly hiring a predator).
Does anyone else feel like it's a weird influx of very 'wrist slap' positive people? or is it just people responding contrarily to the 'mean girl' tone of the post?
Do people really believe that these monster managers who delight in abusing workers are magically reformed in a grand introspective moment as the result of being let go from one job after months of getting away with way more than you were actually fired asked to resign for?
