I get called into my managers office just a few minutes ago and I am told that a higher up came in the store last week on Thursday (I came in during a snowstorm) and saw me on my phone and they reported it to other higher ups and my manager.
We had gotten a total of 12 customers that day so there was nothing to do. Anyway this was just before I was to leave so I was probably checking the time or something.
So this new DM we got had gotten wind of this and told my store manager to write me up on a final notice. Now, I have been here for many years and I am one of the most loyal employees, not saying this proudly but I have been here since day one. So after one infraction this new DM wanted to pretty much get me fired.
Luckily my SM had my back and isn't doing it but I think it may be time for a new job if that's all it takes.
