If software companies pay so much money to their software engineers, the service industry should also pay equal protection of money to their service staff.

Am I thinking this right? Like most of my friends are software engineers making 300-400k a year. They are pretty happy with most things and if they dont like a job they just move to a different one with more pay. They get free food, free shuttles etc. That's how all jobs should be like. Because without it's employees the company is nothing.
