How to stop feeling guilty for taking sick days, even if my mental health isn’t the best?

I just called and said I had a fever even though I don't. But I am exhausted and having a hard time at work. I could justify it to myself by noting that I drive a forklift and it's just not safe. That should be enough but I still feel bad.
