I love seeing everyone leaving jobs they hate and going on to bigger and better things.
We all know US employment is “at-will” and a two week resignation time is a courtesy, rather than a requirement.
I’ve seen so many people write out hundreds of words and pages upon pages of long and very detailed resignation notices.
My question is…..why write so much?
I’ve done both in my life. I’ve written the novel sized resignation letter and also the abbreviated versions with “I quit in two weeks” and my life is the same regardless the letter.
