Quit my job a while ago due to intolerable work conditions (80+ hours of work per week, toxic work environment, rejected promotions, and many other things) My ex-boss just called me and asked whether I wanted to return as they “have so many exciting projects going on” (read: we are understaffed and will abuse you like before) Almost brought a tear to my eye when I told him that I'm happily employed elsewhere at better conditions. 🙂
