I hope everyone had a good easter weekend. mine not so much. I have two separate jobs working for the education system. my first is a crossgaurd job and my secound is a cafiteria worker. they pay just enough that i can get by. i dont recive any benifits so if i end up not working one day, i dont get payed. covid has been rough as i been trying to find odd jobs to work to make up for loss of income.
a week begore easter weekend my coworker for my crossguard job looked sick. she claimed it was allergies due to spring and i was trusting of her. come wensday i almost fainted at the cafiteria from exhuastion which isnt normal even for my spring flue like symptoms. i have bad environmental allergies that go into overdrive during summer so i wear alot of masks and take alot of medication for it. i am alot more sympathetic for others in my spot. i went home early on wensday and confronted my corworker only to be tild yes she did have a 8 day cold and had known this for a week. we had friday and monday off. i had to take Thursdays and Tuesday off since i was still symptomatic. by wensday the next week i was okay to work but i loss work hours and pay with no benifits to help. my coworker was now giving me the cold shoulder and claiming i would have cuaght it anyways. so it wasnt her fualt. all i wanted was a apologie to me.
come this monday after a week of her ignoring my existance she comes up to be all bubbly and wanting to talk. as if nothing had happened and she did not just cuase alot of grief in my life. i told her untill she apologizes for her behavore and actions, i was not interested in talking till then. we had been doing our job in quite for a week without issue. i see no issue with it contuining.
just a note on both our situations, she is retired and doing this job for pocket change. she has a large family and friend group in the area.
i need to work to oay for things and have no family or friends in the area for at lest 4 hrs away.
