Ive never heard of this before, but today i got an email from our regional manager about a coworker's family member passing away and them needing to take a leave of absence. After stating this, she asked us (5 different offices, hundreds of employees) if anyone could possibly donate their PTO to help this coworker through the hardship….
This is the most garbage BS ever. Aside from the fact that im a new employee and dont even know this person, a massive international, multi-million dollar company is asking us to donate our hard earned PTO days when we barely get any to begin with. What kind of a garbage world do we live in where corporations dont have paid leave for emergency situations like this?
