Last week I was had to work 48 hours, Monday-Saturday, with that six day week being split into two pay periods (Thursday-Thursday) so that I wouldn’t receive overtime for the extra 8 hours in that consecutive work week. A month ago I tried to split my work week down the middle, so I’d only work 3 days in a row max without a day to recover in the middle but it was somehow too complicated for them to work around (literally just schedule me mon tues wed fri sat). My manager knew I was struggling with a 5 day week already, then does this, and I don’t even get the pay any reasonably person would see me being entitled to. The fact that I’m autistic too… she took advantage of a mentally disabled employee and I’m very upset. I’ve been quiet in my struggles there. I haven’t really bothered with much Ada accommodations as not to be an inconvenience but today I will be meeting with my manager to discuss the inappropriateness, my refusal to be put in the situation again, and how disrespected and exploited I feel. What should I do here? What all should I say?
