Do you ever catch yourself working too hard and think to yourself “I should chill, I don’t get paid enough for this”?

I feel like what a lot of employers don’t know is that they get what they pay for. If you pay your employees poorly, many of them will work to match their compensation. You’re not “winning” if you pay your employees less than they deserve. Because most of us will just do work to match what we’re paid. And if we do more, we’ll eventually come to the conclusion that it’s not worth it and move on to greener pastures It’s literally a built in for me at this point. If I’m working really hard, I almost always stop and question why I’m doing it since there’s nothing in it for me.
