Is quitting my dead end warehouse job to go back to school anti work?

Last November I quit my job after my boss asked me to climb three racks and start throwing boxes down with no harness, forklift etc. I called a counselor at city college and it turns out I only need a few classes to graduate and transfer to a university for what I really want to do(help low income folks navigate the legal system). I found substantial financial aid due to low enrollment and now I’m just focusing on school.
