I see so many people getting upset at the idea that a commentary on the business itself reflects on the people who work there. Like calling a business trash does not mean that people who need jobs to live and pay their living expenses are included in that statement.
Some people drink so much of the punch and propaganda that they make the company's enemies THEIR enemies, and it's truly awful how people are getting manipulated. Especially in this growing union environment.
When I was young I was misled a lot into thinking this way until I learned what my actual value was to these businesses, so I do what I can when it comes to young workers or new workers. They just don't have the experience to know better.
So try not to hate on people who get mad when you might post about how X business is trash, or Y business shouldn't exist. Just remind them that they are not their jobs.
On the flipside, don't be afraid of calling trash business trash just because you like the people working there. It doesn't reflect on them.
I have no idea where this identity crisis came from, but I suspect it's from the older generations back in the old days when it was actually possible and financially feasible to even work for a place for 30+ years, instead of having to quit to work elsewhere just to keep our wages at parity with inflation.
