I was hoping to get some advice on how I should go about asking for a raise at my end of year review meeting tomorrow.
I know this may not be the right sub but I would love any advice. I am a level 1 tech for a school district so I’m just not sure if it’s even possible for a school district to give single employee raises or how wages are allocated in departments.
The entire school district did receive a 1% raise at the beginning of this school year and it was just recently announced that all employees will be getting a 2% raise at the beginning and of next school year. (Conveniently announced before these end of year reviews and reasonable assurance contracts) however, if my math is right this would still be a pay cut with inflation in my area even assuming there will be no inflation in 2023.
I just want to know if school district are able to give raises to specific employees and any help or advice on how I should ask would be greatly appreciated!
