I started working for this company in June of 2021, upon accepting employment I was promised a company vehicle and fuel card after 6 months of working. It is now about 10 months into my employment and I have been constantly gaslit on whether or not I will be getting a company car. All the while, using my personal vehicle still to perform my job.
For reference we drive sometimes upwards of 500 miles a day. My car has had to have maintenance work done with a price of 4000 or so USD and I was out of work for the week while it was being repaired. This amount was promised to be paid by the company, but I had to take a personal loan out for 3000 to cover costs because the owner couldn't get a loan large enough to cover the cost.
At this point with the gaslighting and constant dissappointment of the job in general, plus the owner seemingly not having the funds to pay for the expenses promised I've taken to looking for other employment for a few months. However, in the mean time I would like to stop using my vehicle and putting myself in a deeper hole by racking up mileage on my car.
Guess I'm just a little lost.
