Quitting etiquette advice?

I enjoy my current job (phlebotomist, drawing blood) but I’m going to go back to school and get a nursing certification because I don’t make enough money to live on. As such I am planning on quitting once I get registered for my nursing clincials and classes as I’ve passed every class I can hold down part time now. I don’t really feel like I’m on bad terms with my bosses and coworkers, but a big reason for me leaving is definitely the poor pay. This has also been discussed repeatedly by my coworkers amongst themselves that the pay is very bad for what our projected salaries and cost of living for our city is supposed to be even if the environment is good. Is it at all appropriate to mention the poor pay when I leave, or should I not say anything to remain on good terms if I return to the company for a nursing job some years down the line? If I do mention it, is there any tactful way to put it if they ask me, etc? Any advice is welcome, and this isn’t an immediate plan of mine, I’m going to stay for the rest of the summer barring anything outrageous of course.

It’s just a shame a full time hospital position doesn’t pay more than just enough for me to afford textbooks while living rent free with my parents. I want to go be my own person.
