how is it fucking legal that a company can bring you on for one job description, and can fire you for not performing shit outside of your “duties.” I say that loosely since apparently they can just change it whenever the fuck they want. Tired of joining a company and then hating my job months later because they keep adding shit.
Applied to and accepted a job explaining that I just want to do my shit and leave, and explained profusely what I don't like to do. 4 weeks in and suddenly there's all these other fucking responsibilities I have! Suddenly I have all these other duties such as updating the operations manual (which is a 5 page word doc that also served as my industry training), developing their POS system to fit their small business (I have no fucking experience in this why would I do this?), going out to customers and trying to sell, and more… I explicitly said I hate outside sales, so this one pisses me off the most. At first I thought I'd be able to put up with the shit PTO (we have PTO, but it's only for the regular holidays. So they are basically scheduled for us) and no insurance because my spouse was supposed to get some through her job, but that fell through so now I'm screwed. Looking for jobs elsewhere, but there seems to be not much more that's less depressing as this.
