I’m a experienced logistics and distribution manager . I have led teams of 15-80 team mates,Green belt , managed facilities upto 600,000 sq feet. Have SQF,HAACP, other food handling credentials . I have increased daily productivity by 15-19%, increased fill rates to 91.7%.
My most recent role the receiving department was 3-4 hours behind , with 15 trucks waiting. Within 2 weeks I managed to get it on time and increased employee morale and reduced BOs. I’m a champion of health and safety and was a coordinator for 3 facilities where we achieved 500 days incident free at one and 1000 days incident free at another. I was the only person out of 28 branches that participated on the corporate safety call with directors, VPs and owners.
I have created SOPs, training and coaching
I was downsized ,November 2021 since then I have been struggling to land a role. I had one offer in the works , but because the HR person made little effort to reach out to my references I was passed over, other offer took 5 weeks and wanted an additional 3 weeks for on-boarding.
I’m finding that people / companies interview these days just for the hell of it . Job postings lasting for months . I’m on the verge of cancelling my lease , most likely will have to go to a homeless shelter, handing back my car and filing for bankruptcy.
I’m eager to start and have been applying for jobs $10-20,000 less than I would prefer.
Lots of companies are hiring but none of them are actually filing positions? Anyone else find this similar ?
