I’m currently between jobs right now as I was laid off, and I have to say, searching for jobs is miserable. The ones I’m qualified for will take a resume. The ones I’m overqualified for, want a resume and an application that takes up to an hour of my time. No thanks.
This whole application process is a joke. A resume is just as good. Why? Because it’s not hard to verify basic information.
Why should I have to put down my old employers name, address, email, phone number, SSN, personal cell phone, how many kids they have, etc.
Anyways. If some employer won’t accept my resume and makes me fill out an online form…no thanks. End of rant.
