Today was the last day of my job and I found out about the business that is disgusting. My best friend works there and found out through the manager of the wedding department. The department manager was having a meeting with one of the owners and saw some disturbing paperwork on the owner's desk. The meeting that they were having was about how hard it was to find another assistant for this manager. During this meeting she saw some paperwork on her desk that graphed the wages for the roles within the company. The paper showed that the owners and managers at the top were paying themselves $40+/hr. These owners refuse to pay the people who work underneath them a living wage. I asked for a raise and was told that “sometimes you have to work 2 jobs to get by.” This company has been doing shady shit for a while. It's finally catching up to them.
