A Company Discriminated Against ADA Participants

I worked for RCI for a number of years and eventually applied for, and was Approved, to take time off due to Migraines. They had a “Points” system which protected Employees from being fired for taking time off, because as you had good attendance they added points ON, so there was a Buffer in case of being late, etc. You also had a chance a Fabulous Prizes (movie tickets, etc) by the same points system. Magically, the people who were following ADA procedure To the Letter did NOT accumulate points if they had to take Medically Necessary, Government Approved time off, so I was stuck at minimal points versus the 30-40 I should have accrued over 7 months. They had the nerve to contest my Unemployment (two HR attended the Phone Hearing) and completely misconstrued the Points System under its very shallow additional function, giving folks Toys and Movie Tickets for showing up. The Judge was clearly in the pocket of The County 's Biggest Employer, so didn't listen to a word I said. As this was the week before a big Vacation (which would have been partially reimbursed by RCI) I was devastated.
