Job abandonment because I didn’t reply to her calls and texts on my off days?

I was turning my stuff in the next day anyway so I didn’t care. Just wondered. My manager called me like twice and texted me 3 times and I didn’t reply, it was my off day even if I wasn’t quitting, so I don’t see the reason to reply. Next day she said if I don’t reply by 1pm that day, it’d be considered job abandonment and I would be terminated. Again, since I already planned on leaving, I didn’t reply. At the scheduled time, she said my termination was effective immediately. She didn’t try emailing me. Didn’t try any alternate number. Didn’t even ask any coworker since they’d tell me if she did. I could have had a dead/broken phone. Could have been in the hospital. She didn’t know. How is that job abandonment that I wasn’t replying on my off days? Either way, I don’t care. I have…

Either way, I don’t care. I have had a new job. Just struck me as weird
