Last week my boss sent out an email saying we needed return to the office. I was honest and said that productivity will decrease. Later that day my boss called me and told me my position was being eliminated. Basically I was fired.
Well today I got an email from this boss asking me to come back. He said that the paperwork hasn’t been finalized yet and I wasn’t technically fired. He also said that my pay would be increased by $15K. I then asked about staying remote and he said that under no circumstances could I stay remote. I told him that his offer wasn’t good enough and to finish the process of firing me so I can file for unemployment.
I think I’ll take a couple of weeks off before going back to finding a job. It won’t be hard at all to find one.
