health insurance strike?

I often see that people complain about the cost of insurance and how it does nothing to help the actual cost. Like at this point I wonder what would happened if everyone left their insurance for month. Of cours those that can. If I am wrong in this way of thinking please tell me how insurance even help? Because they seem to just suck out money for nothing
