I like my job but I hate senior management

I’m a postman in Uk and the job should be simple. Post some letters and parcels then go home. But they are making it very hard with the volumes they expect us to do. It’s all about cutting costs all the time. They won’t give us a pay rise until we remove about 5 of our terms and conditions including working Sundays and annualised hours and other ones just as bad (for 3%). Since it’s privatisation 10 years ago this job has been gradually getting worse. I only joined 3 years ago and I often hear of the easier times in the earlier days and how good the job used to be. Obviously that was before it became all about the profits. I have been getting home and looking for other jobs and realised there’s not many better jobs with my credentials. I’d be only getting a small pay rise…

I’d be only getting a small pay rise for something else unskilled. Part of me wants to study again and actually try hard at something for more money because I need more money than this but right now I feel kind of trapped
